This project is to develop a triplex that maximizes land use efficiency and optimize its economic value. The design aims to give the appearance of three individual single-family homes and this can make the units more appealing to residents who prefer the aesthetic and feel of a standalone home but may want the affordability of a shared building structure. The design minimizes the number of shared walls between the three units and using architectural buffers. Minimizing shared walls not only enhances privacy by reducing sightlines between units but also limits sound transmission, which can be a significant concern in multi-family dwellings.
